February 9, 2025 – Troy, NY – The City of Troy Democratic Committee is excited to announce their endorsements of the following City Council Candidates and Rensselaer County Legislature District 1 representing the City of Troy.
District 1: Phil DiLorenzo, District 2: Shikole Struber, District 3: Incumbent Katie Spain-McLaren, District 4: Noreen McKee, District 5: Jona Favreau, District 6: Greg Campbell-Cohen.
The endorsed candidates have all demonstrated a commitment to making the City of Troy a safe and thriving community for all residents. Noreen McKee and Phil DiLorenzo have extensive fiscal management and leadership professional backgrounds. Shikole Struber, Jona Favreau, and Greg Campbell-Cohen are vocal advocates for Troy and its communities, including lead-line domestic water service replacements, Park Associations, and neighborhood groups. Katie Spain-McClaren has an established track record on the city council of voting with integrity and in the best interest of her constituents in District 3 and all citizens of Troy.
The following six candidates - all incumbents - have been endorsed for Rensselaer County Legislature, District 1 (City of Troy): Minority Leader Peter D. Grimm, Mark J. Fleming, Gary Galuski, Nina M. Nichols, Carole C. Weaver, and Ken Zalewski. We look forward to their continued representation of the City of Troy in the County Legislature. All of these have been a strong and vocal minority in the County Legislature, helping ensure that Troy is not forgotten at the County level.
